  Sound
This area includes various sound related source code.

Amigamod.irx v1.1 ( ps2sdk friendly )
Fixed some name changes so it compiles with ps2sdk, and added a Makefile for ease of use.

SjPCM v2.1 - PCM streaming library for the PS2
SjPCM provides a PS2 IOP module and EE-side interface to output a continuous sound stream to a stereo channel.

Only minor changes have been made since version 2. These changes include:

  • Bugfixes
  • Updated source code to compile with current PS2Lib

NoRecess's XM Player
XMplay is a PS2 port of an XM player made by Bruno Schodlbauer. Because XMplay use SjPCM 2.0, modules are played at 48kHz, 16bit, Stereo.

ps2 soundlib 0.2
Well, it's about time to start playing around with sound
on the PS2 so here are my contribution in that area. I
hope someone will find it useful. If you get stuck in
the fun, search for as much info on psx sound as you can
, since the bios OSDSND sony driver is based on psx spulib.

mp3 with source
Here is a "sample application" to demo Sjeep's sjpcm 2.0 : a port of libmad and a mp3 player, with source ;)

It is compiled for PAL but can be changed for NTSC (see readme.txt). To test it, place a 48 KHz encoded id3tag-free mp3 file named test.mp3 in mp3play.elf dir and naplink the .elf to your favourite console (if you painted it orange, I don't assume any liability in case of big trouble).

look in cvs for libmp3, a library that uses this very code.

AmigaMod.irx by Vzzrzzn
Finally, I release my IOP-side MOD player.
Designed for ease of use, and general accuracy and compatibility with existing MODs. Also includes a Windoze version of the player so you can test your music's compatibility with the player.

Read the readme.txt for all pertinent details.

PS2 EE Modplayer v2.0
This is a basic .MOD file player for PS2. The MOD file processing is all done on the EE.
It uses SJEEP's sound IRX and RPC for the actual sending to IOP and output. It is very self contained and is commented to a reasonable degree. Source Code is Included together with a basic example.
This is an updated version to work with SJPCM v2.1 to eliminate buffering problems and clicks.

This version includes functions for setting up a seperate thread and playing off the VBlank Interrupt. Tested on 10K and later models.
